International Child Development Programme

At A Glance: Working in conjunction with the World Health Organization and UNICEF, ICDP is committed to helping institutionalized children who have been deprived of the affection, support and socialization necessary for a happy, well-adjusted life.
Goals: Help vulnerable children by educating their caregivers and families. Enhance and enrich the quality of adult-child relationships by developing in caregivers a positive conception of the child as a person, and by working to prevent living environments that may lead to neglect and/or abuse.
Results: ICDP has developed a cost-effective sensitization program designed to be deployed in countries around the world, and that is based on the most current research in child development. ICDP is active in 43 countries around the world.
