Fundación Trópico

At A Glance: Founded in 1995 and based in Cali, Fundación Trópico works with ethnic minorities, children, young people, farmers and agricultural associations to raise awareness and provide solutions to local environmental issues.

Goals: Educate on topics such as the management of protected ecological areas, organic agriculture, sustainable food sources and social justice. Support communities and help them to live in harmony with local flora and fauna.

Results: Recent highlights include an ecotourism course in Paramo del Duende National Park, during which 50 participants learned how to boost tourism in the area in ecologically responsible ways.
