📣 To celebrate, SDIA is MATCHING all donations up to $150k, which will be used to build 3 Community Learning Centers in DRC📣⁣

In the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), illiteracy and lack of quality education are huge contributors to women’s poverty. In rural areas, this problem is particularly acute: teenage marriage and pregnancy are common, and schools are costly, unsafe and overcrowded, leading many girls to abandon their studies at a very early age.⁣

SDIA, together with SD Congo, SD Canada, SD Britain, SD USA and the Buchan International Fund, is building three Community Learning Centers (CLCs) in the DRC. These will provide quality basic education, specialized skills training and entrepreneurship support to women and girls.⁣

The cost of building one CLC is $100,000, and our goal is to build three. Your donation – of any size, large or small! – will be matched dollar for dollar – up to our fundraising goal of $150,000 USD. ⁣
